Position Summary:
Under supervision of Clinical Services Manager, responsible for overall implementation of Behavioral Health School Based Consulting program. Oversee daily operations of School Based Consulting program including management of all funding sources. Provide resources, safety and advocacy to ensure physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well-being of tribal children and students. All education staff must adhere to mandated reporting laws. This is a grant funded position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support classroom teachers, behavioral health specialists, administrators, school psychologists and social workers.
Identify students with unmet mental health needs and facilitate entry into behavioral health as needed.
Serve as a consultant to local districts in developing programs to serve students and benefit staff.
Communicate, consult, and partner with parents, staff and other agencies, and other community stakeholders.
Provide or coordinate culturally appropriate services as requested by student or family.
Participate in cultural and community events and activities on a regular basis.
Ensure project monitoring and evaluation systems are in place to collect information and consolidate data to demonstrate impact and inform ongoing program design.
Track and report data for required grant reports; write maintain, update and submit grants.
Provide support to tribal and public school staff and facilities of children with Severe Emotional Disturbance (SED) or other emotional and mental impairments.
Assess student readiness, need for change in services, or placement when appropriate.
Conduct assessment and coordinate development of individualized IEP and other plans of services for students.
