Contractual employees receive 40 hours of contractual management leave on top of regular accruals of annual and sick leave.

Position Summary:

The Physician diagnoses, treats and helps prevent diseases and injuries that commonly occur in SCIT community and its service population. The population served is diverse and includes American Indians and Alaska Natives, entities and eligible family members who visit the Nimkee Clinic Memorial Wellness.

The Physician provides culturally-competent, medical care to patients and families, serving individuals throughout their lifespan. The Physician will also serve as the Medical Director and, as such, shares in the administrative function that directly impacts medical services and collaborates with the management team in overall planning. The Physician/Medical Director assures delivery of quality services to all patients, in keeping with the philosophy, mission and goals of SCIT Tribe. This position is contractual.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Document visits in the Electronic Health records (EHR) system in accordance with the established standards of Nimkee Clinic, MAT Clinic and the best standards of patient care, IHS guidelines and other guideline contracts.

Function as a member of the Medical, MAT and Behavioral Health Monthly Meetings in accordance with appropriate policies and procedures with in Nimkee Clinic setting.

Demonstrates a caring and helpful attitude with patients, vendors and co-workers
