Your Opportunity

Stantec is currently seeking a Civil Designer - EIT, with 0-2 years’ experience, to join our site/civil department in our Mount Laurel, NJ Office. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects for clients within the private and municipal (local, state and federal) sectors.

Your Key Responsibilities

This is an excellent career opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join a team of outstanding professionals and help our clients solve their most challenging problems. Typical projects involve site/civil design for residential, commercial and industrial site development, as well as capital improvement/utility infrastructure projects. Also, this individual may be needed to visit project sites and perform construction observation activities. This position will also require the candidate to possess knowledge of the following:

  • Site/civil development experience including grading design, water and sewer infrastructure design, roadway design

  • Storm water management systems design, and erosion and sediment control design.

  • Survey development including aspects of topographic base plan preparation.

  • Working on design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents or construction plans.

  • Ordinance/code and deed research, cost estimation, and permitting applications.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Previous experience with AutoCAD Civil 3-D is required.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office is required.

  • Experience with Stormwater modeling software is preferred.

  • Experience with a Land Development Engineering firm is preferred.

  • Possess a valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Education and Experience

  • Civil Engineering Degree from ABET accredited school.

  • 0-2 years' experience.

  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) required.
