Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Description

Actalent is seeking a skilled and experienced Process Engineer. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in process engineering, with strong mechanical experience.

Job duties include:

  • Equipment specification writing, equipment design review support

  • Equipment Buy off / Run off / Installation/ Debug support

  • Evaluate processes to drive down cost, increase capacity, and reduce process time. Affected processes include but are not limited to cosmetics assessment, device reconditioning, device programming, component-level testing, and final assembly functional, RF testing, device receipt, and shipping.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, & Excel) for editing, revising, and creating production documentation and process analysis.

  • Lead open issue meetings with the Operations Team

  • Support manufacturing operations with regards to device failure validation, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation

  • Coordinate with QA and Materials associates to address line impacting component escalations and determine alternate source components

  • Analyze production data and interpret results to direct Lean improvement initiatives

  • Work with vendors and provide accurate documentation on parts and spare parts

  • Process/manufacturing facility layout designs to maximize throughput, yields, and quality

  • Perform root cause failure analysis on field failures (returns) and repair process failures

  • Identify and report deficiencies and potential improvements to the department Supervisor

  • Actively identify & pursue Lean process improvement initiatives

  • Lead analytical troubleshooting & problem solving. Coach & train others on these as well

  • Collaborate with the plant and leadership team, customers, suppliers, and production floor personnel to identify and facilitate projects to improve key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Testing responsibilities, setting up of parameters with SPC (Statistical Process Control)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/ Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent or 5+ years of active experience in Process Engineering activities described in job responsibilities section.

  • Process improvement experience - 80% of this role

  • Project Management Experience

  • Equipment Procurement, Debugs & Installs (Mechanical Skills)

  • Recent launch experience within a plant

  • Lean Six Sigma
