Purpose: The primary purpose of a Vault Teller is to assist FreeStar Financial Credit Union in fulfilling our mission to positively impact the lives of our members, team members, and community through making meaningful connections and progressive financial solutions.

Duties:

Provide efficient and accurate service in transactions which include check cashing, deposits, withdrawals or transfers through the lobby and/or drive-thru.

Provide members with account status as requested.

Balance on a daily basis the assigned cash drawer including all negotiable instruments.

Meet member needs by cross-selling all products and services offered by the credit union. Must achieve the minimum sales standards as established by leadership.

Process night deposit and ATM transactions.

Assist tellers with balancing and auditing any out of balance conditions.

Place weekly cash orders timely. Accept and verify incoming and outgoing cash from the Federal Reserve.

Responsible for the daily vault cash to and from the tellers.

Balance vault daily.

Ensure checks are forwarded to the Accounting Department weekly.

Perform surprise cash counts on all teller drawers monthly.

Perform audits on ATM, key log and stamps monthly.
