This position is for a Marine Electrician with a company in Moss Point, MS.

Summary: SAVARD is hiring Lead Marine Electrician for work in Moss Point, MS for Job # 18636. Job site Environment: Marine Port Terminal.

Duties and Responsibilities: The Marine Electricians will be installing wiring on Pouge Boats and dressing according to Coast Guard and other shipbuilding standards. They will be reading & working off of electrical diagrams / ship drawings to create and install all electrical components for ships, barges, and tug boats.

Education and Experience: Work experience required: Minimum of 6 years marine electrical experience required. Must have previously held a job in supervision on a new construction of tractor tugs & push boats project of a ABS class vessel. Ability to work from detailed Electrical and mechanical drawings and instructions. Competent in marine electrical installation of all systems on ABS class vessels such as Z drives. Ability to provide feedback to appropriate Supervisor/Foreman/manager in regard to project progress. Ability to Order material, plan and set time frames on jobs with accuracy. Works with a sense of urgency, efficiency and productive output. Ability to work overtime as required. Ability to work with minimal supervision and be responsible for assuring the quality of the employee's own work and others. Ensure correct construction procedures are adhered to in compliance with ABS standards. Maintains safe work practices and adheres to safety policies and procedures.

Valid ID; USCG Engineer License a plus. College degree a plus.

Shifts/Hours: Must be able to work 6-7 days a week. 7 am - 5:30 pm.

Pay: $27 hr. Up to $ 1890 w 60 hours.
