Terex Corporation Manufacturing Engineer Technician I - Service Technician in Moses Lake, Washington
Job Description: *This is a night shift position M-TH 4pm-2:30am with a 10% differential and possible overtime. * Overview: Responsible for supporting operations as a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team. This position will play a critical role with the support and continuous improvement of manufacturing value streams for existing products. Main Duties & Responsibilities Managing small scale projects, which includes concept development both 2D and wood mockup The candidate must have a good understanding of lean manufacturing principles with a focus on Jidoka, One touch, and Poka-Yoke. Understand and apply workplace ergonomic and safety standards to all projects with the goal of creating "Zero Harm". This role will require the candidate to work closely with the Genie design team to create innovative solutions for production needs. Quick mock-ups and simulations of new processes will be required, also the development of a timeline and overall project plan. Ability to sketch ideas and collaborate with many groups within Terex. Responsible for managing the workload for several projects at once and prioritizing projects to hit established deadlines Responsible for applying established build standards to harness board development Required Qualifications: Requires knowledge of manufacturing practices including fabrication and assembly line setup, tooling design, harness board development, electrical tester implementation, and equipment design. Requires an understanding of electrical controls, hydraulics and pneumatics. Requires knowledge of engineering terminology including design specifications, CAD, BOM, equipment and component testing methods, and equipment functionality. Good understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills including use of a multi-meter Ability to create harnesses based off of schematics and drawings Must have a strong attention to detail, patience and the ability to complete work in a neat and orderly manner. Experience driving results when working with multiple customers and development teams. Familiar with ECO process including change implementation on existing assembly lines and new product launches Ability to take projects from concept to production, including team member training Excellent problem solving skills (thorough knowledge of 5-why's problem solving methodology) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to teach others Ability to teach, develop, document, update and improve Standard Work Understanding of electrical theory Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 2+ Years of experience troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic issues on aerial work platforms Knowledge and ability to use Solidworks, ePDM, AutoCAD, MS Office applications, Experience or familiarity with 3P, 7 Ways, Prototyping, Simulations, Kaizen and the PDCA cycle to make improvements Knowledge of soldering and CAN splicing rules. Physical Requirements 10-hour shifts. Ability to lift 40 pounds throughout shift. Standing for long periods of time. Tripping hazards, bending, stooping. Salary: The salary range for this position is $24.62-$36.92 hourly.
