Executive Education at the University of Idaho is located within the College of Business and Economics. It partners with industry to create innovative, strategically designed curricula for energy industry stakeholders from across the United States and the world. We give executives the knowledge, skills, and vision to lead change. The flagship Energy Executive Course is guided by a Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Idaho and the Energy Executive Course Advisory Board.

rrPosition Overview:

r

This position is responsible for providing day-to-day operations support to team members throughout the planning, implementation and delivery of programs, and may serve as first point of contact for the unit.

Duties may include:

  • Serving as primary contact with program participants, customer service and office support functions
  • Facilitating communication between program participants and managerial staff
  • Coordinating arrangements for the program such as meetings, conferences and special events
  • Collecting, compiling and summarizing program data and managing records
  • Maintaining program calendars and schedules
  • Creating, reviewing and approving financial documents, and providing routine financial reports to the program administrator
  • Other duties as assigned

rrRequired Experience:

r

  • Three years performing administrative, office and/or program support functions

rrRequired Education:

r

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

rrRequired Other:

r

  • Requires occasional travel to regional and national events
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends in the execution of programs, activities, and events
  • Must have a valid drivers license and ability to meet U of I driving requirements

rrAdditional Preferred:

r

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience:
    • Composing, proofing and editing a variety of documents, using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials
    • Using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email and internet research
    • Working in a team-oriented environment to accomplish shared goals
    • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholder groups
    • Experience in customer service and public relations standards and procedures
    • Independently solving problems and performing liaison activities in a work setting and coordinating activities requiring complex arrangements
    • Developing, organizing, and implementing administrative projects
    • Maintaining digital records for data management, analysis, and report generation
    • Interpreting, applying, and explaining complex information such as regulations, policies, or services
    • Supervising and training staff
    • Facilitating educational programming or events
    • Experience in distance learning coursework development and technology
