ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY - NON-CONTRACT AT-WILL POSITION
POSITION CUSTODIAN NIGHT
8 hours/night
STARTING DATE As soon as possible
HOURS 8 hours/night, 3:00 p.m. 11:30 p.m.
SALARY \$16.71/hour
JOB DESCRIPTION General custodial duties, which include the cleaning of bathrooms, minor repair
work, vacuum floors, mop floors, clean chalkboards, and empty trash.
QUALIFICATIONS 1. One (1) year experience in custodial work
2. Knowledge of general custodial tasks, methods, materials and equipment
operations associated with cleaning buildings; monitoring building security;
general safety practices, including the use of cleaning agents and possible
reactions and equipment.
3. Skills: collaborating with others; learning, reasoning, and making judgments;
first aid and CPR (which may be learned after employment).
4. Abilities: observe and communicate orally and in writing; read and speak
English; lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds; transfer and care for custodial
equipment; fine and gross motor dexterity; accept direction and carry out
assignments to full completion; positive interactions and communication with
other district employees and the public.
5. Work emergency/essential overtime and weekends as approved.
6. Reliable personal transportation may be required to be able to move from
one job site to another to carry out assignments.
7. A valid drivers license is required if the employee operates a district vehicle.
