rrPosition Summary:

r This position is for a Non-Tenure Track, Clinical Assistant Professor in Economics will teach a seven-course load (21 credits) in Economics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels (public finance, econometrics, principles of microeconomics, and principles of macroeconomics). The faculty member will demonstrate expertise in business economics, with the ability to deliver high-quality and innovative courses in both traditional classroom and online environments. This position also entails scholarly or practitioner-oriented research and intellectual contributions, staying abreast of industry trends. Additionally, the faculty member will play a vital role in advising students, demonstrating a commitment to their academic and professional development. Active involvement in both outreach and extension activities to foster connections with professional organizations and the business community is expected, as well as service and leadership contributions to the department, college, and university. This clinical faculty position is non-tenure track at assistant professor rank.

rrMinimum Qualifications:

  • MS in Economics or related field
  • Experience teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level
  • Experience conducting applied or academic research

rrPreferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in Economics, Applied Economics or related field
  • Ability to teach applied Econometrics to business majors
  • Record of teaching excellence
  • Evidence of a research agenda
  • Ability to bring business acumen into the classroom
