Aerotek Slitter Operator in Morrisville, Pennsylvania

We are seeking FULL TIME Slitter Operator to join our team located in the Morrisville, PA area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating slitter, shear, or other equipment, leading and working with the Assistant Slitter Operator, and ensuring the quality of the material during production. The Slitter Operator will also be responsible for packaging, weighing, and tagging finished coils. This is a FIRST SHIFT opportunity and have to be able to commit to working 40hrs a week.

Responsibilities

  • Set up slitter, shear, or other equipment.

  • Lead and work with the Assistant Slitter Operator to prepare equipment for production.

  • Operate equipment; load and unload or direct loading and unloading of coils.

  • Maintain visual inspection of material during slitting, report and record all substandard material.

  • Package, weigh, and tag finished coils.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience as a Slitter Operator is required.

  • Ability to read a tape measure.

  • Light troubleshooting experience.

  • Mechanical knowledge.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in machine operation.

  • General labor skills.

  • Experience with slitter machines.

  • Assembly skills.

  • Hand tool proficiency.

  • Forklift operation.
