Professional Rank and Salary Range: N.1; $20.00/hour

Duration: Schedule is flexible based on candidate availability; Approximately 20 hours/week; Calendar Year (this position works all 12-months)

*Please note this position is within our Research Foundation, a private employer (not associated with state benefits, etc.). This position is grant-funded and is therefore temporary in nature, contingent upon the continued availability of funding.

Brief Description of Duties:

SUNY Morrisville is seeking a RF Grant Support Staff to support our Campus Research Foundation Grant Activity.

The SUNY Research Foundation (RF) on the SUNY Morrisville campus helps the ongoing grant activities which provide a significant amount of funding and support to student and academic programs on campus. This position will be providing administrative support for those grants.

The successful candidate will have experience in providing administrative and clerical support. They will also have experience with working with data entry systems.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the RF administrative staff on campus with overall managing of RF grant activity.

  • Assist with the RF grant post-award processes and activities including purchasing, travel and accounts payable.

  • Assist with setting up grants with the RF in Albany.

  • Assist with using and reconciling RF purchasing cards and corporate travel cards.

  • Assist with the grant pre-award and submittal process including attending grant meetings on campus.

  • Responsible for RF data entry of all grant information into RF databases and portals.

  • Responsible for the data entry of RF cost share information.

  • Assist with the oversight of active RF grants to include the monitoring of grant expenditures and generation of regular reports for RF grants for Principal Investigators (PIs).

  • Assist with the closing out and finalization of grant awards with the RF.

  • Attend periodic conferences and trainings with the RF.

    Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SUNY Research Foundation or other grant experience.

  • 1+ years of experience in a clerical, administrative support position.

  • Experience with data entry systems.
