Description

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join our clients dynamic audit team. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on operational audits, extensive knowledge in the healthcare or government sector, and hold a certified public accountant (CPA) certification. This is a fully remote position but does require residency in North Carolina.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct operational audits in the health care and government sectors ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

• Develop, plan, and implement audit strategies and procedures.

• Review operations and practices, control systems, and evaluate the accuracy of financial records.

• Identify and manage risks, propose recommendations to mitigate risks and escalate issues to management as required.

• Prepare reports of audit findings, illustrative charts, and spreadsheets to summarize audit findings.

• Ensure all audits are completed in a timely manner, in adherence to our internal control structure.

• Collaborate effectively with all departments and levels of management providing valuable input into the operations of the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing, specifically in the health care or government sector.

• Strong understanding and experience with risk and compliance procedures.
