About Our Team

Lenovo's Cloud Service Provider Group (CSP) is seeking a Sr Server Development Engineer with server motherboard design experience and a strong background in GPU architecture. At Lenovo, we pride ourselves on delivering end-to-end solutions tailored to meet even the most unique customer demands.

Our CSP solutions are conceptualized, developed, and deployed worldwide, all within our in-house expertise.

Location: This position is based in Morrisville, NC.

Job Description Summary

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and development of Server Motherboard architectures from concept to production, ensuring adherence to performance, reliability, and cost targets.

• Experience with GPU Servers, focusing on thermal management, power efficiency, and performance enhancements. Optimize GPU configurations for maximum throughput and reliability.

• Utilize advanced debugging techniques and tools to identify and resolve hardware issues during development and post-production phases. Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, firmware developers, and product managers to align motherboard designs with system requirements and project timelines. Communicate technical concepts and project updates effectively.

• Identify opportunities for design optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancement through innovation and emerging technologies. Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of hardware engineering experience

• Bachelor's or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

• Experience with server, storage or GPU design/development

• Customer engagement experience

Preferred Qualifications

• x86 Intel server architecture and/or GPU Nvidia Arm based technology

• Experience with OCP based hardware

• Customer engagement experience

• Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work with global teams.

• Experience working with hyperscale customers
