Position Summary

The primary purpose for the Business Analytics Lead Analyst is to provide direct analytic support for the Clinical Research and New Solutions department, specifically, the Prospect Analytics division. The analyst will provide reporting, analytic support, and consultation to our core customers (Sales and Account Management Teams) engaged in the client service model. In providing this service, the analyst will need to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and will require cross-functional collaboration. Additionally, the analyst will support enhancements to reports to meet evolving business needs. This individual will possess functional, technical and advanced business knowledge to provide customized, ad hoc solutions for information requests. In addition, there will be a technical component that is required with a thorough understanding of relational databases, the information warehouse, claims data, and SQL code.

Essential Functions

Data Analytics & Devops – Perform standard ETL process and ad-hoc reporting for Account teams and Prospects. Query data warehouse(s) using variety of tools available. Extract data and manipulate into reports for client both internal and external. Ability to assist in identification and development of automated solutions for process improvements. Develop new reports, models and analytic solutions with innovative ways to present data in order to support the Sales and Account Management teams. Maintain turn-around times per contractual agreements.

Consultation – Consultation with account management teams to help understand issues and data requests. Cross-Functional collaboration as needed to create alignment with stakeholders.

Collaboration – Business Analytics Lead Analyst will need to collaborate with multiple departments across the company including Account Management, Underwriting, Pricing, Clinical Strategy, Advanced Analytics, and internal Knowledge Solutions areas. Business Analytics Lead Analyst will need to facilitate hand-offs between multiple areas and will be asked to provide SME support on multiple projects/initiatives.

Project management and prioritization – Business Analytics Lead Analyst will be overseeing multiple projects and initiatives. Business Analytics Lead Analyst will need to be able to negotiate timelines/priority with stakeholders.

Communication – Effectively communicate goals, outcomes, direction to all stakeholders including internal employees. Create a unified voice and environment for open dialogue and collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or 2-4 years of relevant working experience

• Experience with Microsoft Office software, SQL, SAS

• Experience in pulling data and understanding relational databases.

• Strong business and organizational skills

• Demonstrated initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Solid customer service, technical, analytical, and communication skills required

• Knowledge of AWS, Python, Alteryx, R a plus
