About the role This position is responsible for operating necessary equipment to store, supply, and move materials for manufacturing processes as required. Responsibilities Supports a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures Ensures production processes are supplied with materials as instructed Perform written safety checks on material handling equipment Performs weigh counts for materials and stores them as necessary Removes trash from manufacturing areas Assists in manufacturing processes and changeovers as requested Operates material movement equipment as needed in a safe and efficient manner to prevent injury to self, others and other equipment Maintains a clean work area, consolidates containers of like parts and moves empty containers to designated storage areas Enters production on “make” items, generates move or scrap transactions as needed to ensure inventory accuracy, and keeps proper identification with material in the department Verifies and maintains product identification and count Moves properly marked material to non-conforming hold area as instructed by supervision and performs necessary transactions Supports departmental goals and objectives for safety, quality, production and equipment maintenance Supports receiving by verifying conformance to invoices and stocking all received components on the appropriate shelf location Responsible for accurate weighing and documenting of scrapped materials for inventory accuracy, communicates issues or concerns with supervisor and/or production lead Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Ability to complete a Powered Industrial Truck training offered by the organization Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, and apply to work standards Listens and obtains clarification, responds well to questions Ability to communicate in verbal and written English Requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling Requires eye/hand/foot coordination Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds $19.84 and up Ability to work nights, 4 on/4 off, 6pm to 6am Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Significant experience and skills in the field may be considered in lieu of diploma or equivalent.
