As an Accounting Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of aspiring accountants and finance and business professionals. Responsibilities: Develop and deliver high-quality undergraduate introductory accounting courses, as well as upper-level courses, especially on tax accounting, to students, utilizing effective teaching strategies and methodologies. Create and update course materials, including syllabi, lecture notes, assignments, and assessments, to ensure relevance and alignment with learning objectives. Engage students through interactive and participatory teaching methods, promoting critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and concepts. Facilitate classroom discussions, encourage student engagement, and provide constructive feedback on assignments and exams to enhance learning outcomes. Mentor and guide students, providing academic support, career advice, and assistance in developing their accounting skills and knowledge. Stay up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in accounting regulations, incorporating relevant updates into the curriculum. Collaborate with fellow faculty members to enhance the department s academic programs, share best practices, and contribute to curriculum development initiatives. Participate in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and professional development activities to stay informed about institutional policies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and progress reports, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
