Job Title: Pipe Layer Technician

Job Description

We are a large-scale civil sitework contractor in the area. We undertake turnkey site work projects and are seeking a semi-skilled construction worker to assist in laying our utility pipes. As a Pipe Layer Technician, you will be required to work in ditches to guide pipes into the ground. You will be working with PVC and ductile iron piping systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in pipe installation to ensure optimum productivity, construction standards, and safety compliance.

  • Help with the layout, assembly, and installation of various sizes and types of water, storm, and sewer systems.

  • Set proper grades and elevations, including flowline, grade stick, and string line.

  • Check slopes for conformance to grading elevations using levels or lasers.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in industrial construction and heavy equipment operation.

  • Knowledge of civil construction and pipe installation.

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints.

  • Experience in site work, pipe laying, backhoe operation, and excavation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to work with various piping systems including PVC and ductile iron.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Mooresville, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
