Overview

We’re looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team.

You will report directly to the Senior Accountant. You will be responsible for reviewing checks and remittances for accuracy and completion. You will also be responsible for both automated and manual date entry as well as General Accounting Tasks.

• Ensure the coordination of claim activities and designated agencies, and the timely reimbursement of receivables.

• Research, resolve, and prepare claims that have not passed the payer edits daily. Determine and initiate action to resolve rejected invoices.

• Analyze each agency's outstanding monthly accounts receivable, and process claims to obtain zero balances.

• Clear payment variances, resolving differences, and initiating corrective action.

• Guide/instruct and support agency personnel encompassing all aspects of claims processing.

• Prepare input data forms to update computer system.

• Review and communicate with Prebilling to educate them about expectations for clean claims

Compensation may vary within the salary range provided based on several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s location, experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications and department equity. Gentiva provides associates with a comprehensive benefits and total rewards package, of which base pay is just one piece.

Salary Range - $20/hr to $22/hr

About You

• High School Diploma of GED

• 2 years of cash positing experience preferably in the medical field

• Knowledge of medical terminology, Insurance billing and reimbursement, coding, Commercial

• EOB and Medicare and Medicaid remits
