Electrical Engineering & Compliance Manager - Warehouse Automation Position Summary:OPEX is a global leader in robotic warehouse automation system design, development, manufacturing, production, installation, and service. OPEX Corporation is currently looking for a full-time manager to lead our Warehouse Automation Electrical Engineering and Compliance team, located at our World Headquarters in Moorestown, NJ. This position will manage electrical engineers, compliance engineers, technicians and CAD personnel to design, develop, and deliver high-quality warehouse automation solutions. Responsibilities:Hire, develop, mentor, and manage staff; set department and individual goals; manage staff career development and training; conduct performance evaluations.Take ultimate responsibility for all aspects of department’s project deliverables, including design, development, compliance, and documentation deliverables.Provide electrical engineering, design compliance and project management expertise to support project engineering teams, to ensure that the stated safety, quality, reliability, schedule and budget objectives are met.Fully understand the scope of new projects, recognize how that scope is both generated and impacted by other disciplines, and identify scope change.Provide consulting and troubleshooting expertise to solve complex technical electrical engineering problems in support of your team.Oversee all design compliance activities including providing technical expertise and direction on complex compliance issues.Manage staffing and performance of department to ensure the delivery of components, functional elements and/or products meet specifications and market demands accurately and on time.Plan and establish engineering schedules and follow up on performance against estimates.Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and objectives regarding processes, initiatives, and projectsQualifications:Min BS in EE or equivalent10+ years of relevant experience.Proven track record of managing and coordinating activities of electrical engineers that are involved in the research, development, design, testing and evaluation of electrical components, equipment and systems.Proven track record of successfully defining and executing engineering compliance programs within a product development organization. Familiarity with a range of domestic and non-domestic compliance engineering requirements as well as environmental, health and safety standards. Experience in this area with industrial machinery is a plus.Excellent problem solving skills and project management skills.Ability to manage development efforts in a dynamic environment comprised of highly skilled and motivated engineers.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.About UsCompany OverviewOPEX Corporation is more than a manufacturer of machines.
