Purchasing Specialist - 307024  

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: We are currently seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Moon, PA.

PURPOSE  * Key member of the Corporate Shared Services team and reports to the Purchasing Manager  * Works independently and held to a high standard of professionalism  * Responsible for coordinating the Purchasing function:  * Monitors Purchasing e-mail box for all incoming Purchase Requests  * Processes order requests via Oracle iProcurement and/or AMEX Purchasing card program  * Manage Vendor relationships  * Identifies savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services, computer hardware, etc.  * Manages vendors in Oracle by ensuring proper documents are submitted and updated as needed  * Remote WFH position

RESPONSIBILITIES  * IT hardware/software order processing  * CAPEX Real Estate office order processing  * Follow-up on the status of purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery and communicate status of orders with internal and/or external customers  * Program administrator for office supplies vendors  * Research and resolve account payables outages with suppliers  * Month end close processing  * Coordinate with IT asset management to forecast software acquisitions  * Special projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS  * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred  * Minimum of 5 years of related experience  * ERP system experience (Oracle preferred)  * Embraces position with a sense of urgency and eager to proactively seek process improvements  * Strong Excel spreadsheet skills  * Microsoft Teams spreadsheet collaboration  * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills  * Self-motivated, flexible, able to seek out objectives and complete tasks with minimal direction in a deadline driven environment  * Excellent business communication skills - both written and verbal  * Team player with ability to interact with all levels of the organization  * Detail oriented and high personal standards for quality of work

COMPENSATION The hourly range for this position is $55K-$60K. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
