Eaton Corporation Product Integration Engineer - MV in Moon Township, Pennsylvania

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Product Integration Engineer - MV.

Provide MV switchgear design support to Power Components Division (PCD) customers. Enhance and maintain the OEM Drawing Portal and interpret customer specifications. Increase customer demand for PCD Products by demonstrating the PCD Value Propositions associated with product and industry application expertise.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

  • Demonstrating knowledge of MV Arc Resistant and Non-Arc Resistant Metal-Clad and Metal-Enclosed Switchgear designs, testing, production and standards knowledge as they relate to development of new switchgear platforms.

  • Understand and effectively align to the customer’s design cycle to support switchgear integration activities through direct interface with PCD Customers.

  • Develop and maintain technical content for OEM handbooks and web tools, with support of MV breaker and MVA switchgear engineering, to integrate product into PCD Customer applications. Provide technical content for marketing communications collateral.

  • Demonstrate comprehensive PCD product knowledge; product function, customer/industry application, troubleshooting, and global standards as they apply to PCD Product application and selection.

  • Provides product engineering expertise to implement improvements in internal systems, training, and applications.

  • Sustain differentiation through enhancing knowledge base of product engineering technologies, competitor capabilities and practices. Control and verify all marketing collateral and project technical specifications.

  • Support sales and marketing on technical aspects of product applications, and interpreting customer product specifications, and drawing requirements.

  • Provide pre- and post-sale customer technical support for external and internal customers in the Americas Region.

  • Collect and analyze early product and process performance data, using applicable Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing approaches.

  • Provide post sale product installation, set up, configuration, application and troubleshooting support.

  • Assist in developing customer value propositions and value selling tools through intimate knowledge of customers, markets segments served and associated industry trends.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of two years of MV switchgear engineering design experience.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or plant operations environment.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Must be able to travel, as necessary, to effectively interface with customers and other required contacts, to work at various outside/inside site locations, and to manage or participate in company related projects, activities, or other job-related assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of MV Switchgear design experience

  • Power Breaker application or design experience

  • Experienced using 3D modeling software.

  • Knowledgeable with saving and retrieving drawings and bill of materials from a central repository package.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of medium voltage circuit breakers, switchgear, standards, and product application.

  • Experience with making creating and making changes to UL product files.

  • Electrical bid specification review and product recommendation to satisfy requirement.

  • Ability to read electrical system one-line, understand control logic and device terminology.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel at all management, professional, and technical levels.

  • Possess strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills and be able to understand and resolve complex customer application issues.

  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills

  • Software – Microsoft program (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, CAD

  • The position requires up to 25% travel to customer locations in the Americas Region.

  • Self-motivated and driven to provide industry leading customer service.

  • Work location can be remote.
