DESCRIPTION OF WORK This role is an introductory level position within the organization. The responsibilities associated with this position encompass a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to scheduling, transporting, and accompanying clients to various appointments, whether they be medical, dental, or other types of appointments. Additionally, this role involves escorting clients to foster homes, court hearings, and recreational activities.

The duties also involve providing clients and the community with basic information, as well as assisting clients and their families with everyday activities such as home care, meal planning, budgeting, child care, and training. Furthermore, this position requires advising technical and professional social service staff on clients' needs and their progress in achieving established goals and objectives.

Other responsibilities include picking up and delivering clients' equipment, clothing, and other belongings as needed, as well as supervising children during office visits and in crisis situations within their homes. Routine clerical tasks are also part of this role, such as mail handling, answering phones, taking messages, typing, copying, and other administrative duties. Additionally, maintaining order in waiting and visiting rooms, preparing reports, and performing any other related tasks as required are also part of the responsibilities associated with this position.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Graduation from high school; or Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.  Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Susquehanna County. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
