  About River Landing Ambulatory Surgery Center

• The River Landing Surgery Center at the Ambulatory Care Center will open summer 2024. As an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), it will focus on providing same-day surgical care to patients with added convenience. ASCs have a strong track record of quality care and positive patient outcomes.

  About The Career:

• Performs initial assessment, admits and prepares patient for appropriate surgical/special procedure. Acts as a liaison between operative team and family. Provides postoperative care and support. Implements discharge plan. Provides specialized treatments and procedures, patient and family teaching. Provides professional, courteous, and emphatic service to a population ranging from infants to adults. Performs Pre- Op Clinic duties as needed. BCLS, ACLS and PALS required

  All About You :

• Education: Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program with a Degree in Nursing.

• Training & Experience: Experience is preferred. Orientation is based on previous knowledge and experience. Additional education/training in related field is considered on an individual basis. CAPA or CPAN certification is recommended. Active membership in professional organizations (ASPAN/ONS/SGNA) are highly recommended. BCLS required upon hire. ACLS and PALS or ENPC required within 9 months of hire.

• Job Knowledge: Encompasses a wide range of nursing, psycho-social and medical information which includes nursing process, communication and problem solving, assessment and prioritizing skills.
