The Arc Greater Hudson Valley Masters Level Psychologist -ABSS -Clinic in Monticello, New York
Overview: The ARC of Greater Hudson Valley is seeking a Masters Level Psychologist -ABSS -Clinic.
The Masters Level Psychologist -ABSS provides services classified as diagnostic, palliative, preventative, and/or rehabilitative/habilitative within the scope of their discipline. Exercise discretion and judgement while providing leadership, direction and management to specific areas of oversight.
The ABSS possesses a master's degree in a clinical and/or treatment field of Psychology who also has training in assessment techniques and behavioral program development and who functions under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. They are responsible for performing counseling, capacity and psychological evaluations and developing and providing clinically appropriate treatment plans to people supported. The ABSS can meet the requirements set forth in the grandparenting provisions of part V of Chapter 57 of the laws of NY 2018.
Responsibilities: Provide clinically appropriate treatment in accordance with treatment plans. Conduct evaluations/assessments to determine therapeutic need and diagnosis. Establish clinically appropriate plans of care involving other members of the treatment and/or support teams as needed. Maintain appropriate documentation (i.e. daily treatment notes, treatment plans, plan of service reviews, evaluations, etc.) in a timely manner Participate in team and staff meetings as required Maintain established number of patient contact visits, as detailed in the treatment plan. Contribute to the annual/semi-annual/quarterly planning review on patients being seen for on-going sessions. Develop and/or conduct and oversee trainings for staff and/or family members as appropriate to maximize outcomes of the people receiving services. Communicate effectively both orally and in written form with internal and external treatment and support teams, or other professionals. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Follow the Arc Greater Hudson Valley mission statement and core values. Attend trainings as required (internal and external) Abide by federal, state and local laws governing patient care standards and privacy regulations. Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Maintain valid licenses {including driving license, as applicable], certifications or any other credentials that are required or necessary to carry out the responsibilities upon and throughout employment.
Requirements: Masters Degree in a clinical and/or treatment field of psychology with training in assessment techniques and behavioral program development. NY State Driver's License Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
Shift and Salary: This is a Full time position, 40 hours a week, $26.10 Hour
