Job Summary

As the Finance Intern, you will communicate and collaborate with clients for fiscal operations and support, including budgeting and planning.

Job Description

We are looking for a Finance Intern for CAI's Internship Experience Program (IXP) for Summer 2025! This role is full-time and remote - program runs from June 2nd - August 1st 2025.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with other client personnel

  • Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and assist in making informed recommendations

  • Communicate and collaborate with clients for fiscal operations and support, including budgeting and planning

  • Write creatively and professionally

  • Translate legislation, policy, and technical information into easily understood language

  • Analyze data with financial analytical tools and software, such as Excel, QuickBooks, and case management systems

  • Manage professional finances, accounting, budgeting, and/or contract negotiation and monitoring

  • Assist with proposal and bid development for future work engagement

  • Organize a project plan/outline to schedule and drive and complete work

  • Work independently with guidance from senior staff

  • Participate in internship activities and client events

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Current Junior undergrad majoring in business, economics, accounting, finance, public administration, or other related field

  • 3.5 GPA or higher

  • Understanding of office management systems, as well as procedures

  • Knowledgeable on project management principles

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Experience with public speaking

  • Strong organization and attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritize tasks

  • Strong communicative skills

  • High-level analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to effectively multi-task

Physical Demands

  • Ability tosafely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistentwith the ADA and other federal,stateand local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting orremainingstationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer,utilizinga mouse, keyboard, and monitor
