The Role
Construction Project Administrators are responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and managing a wide variety of projects involving the construction of ISP and OSP facilities, including cables, conduits, huts, etc. They will oversee the construction process from conceptualization to completion including collaboration with engineers, construction supervisors, contractors, various trade workers and project managers. They are responsible for effectively monitoring and managing quality and on time completion of work and resolving issues while accurately reporting on the progress of a project and updating databases as applicable.

The Main Responsibilities
Review the quality of work performed by internal employees and contractors by monitoring construction projects.
Partners with Engineering to ensure designs are effectively translated into the field environment and being the interface with contractors in preparation of projects.
Manages projects, administers implementation, and provides field perspective of necessary work functions.
May act as a project leader or provide work leadership and methods for success for internal and external employees.
Assists in resolving issues, reviews engineering work prints and handbooks and vendor installation processes in accordance with Lumen standards and with the current Lumen RUS coding.
Provides feedback to internal and external construction personnel regularly which may include housekeeping issues, communication of engineering standards, practices and procedures, and pertinent job information.
The successful candidate will be involved in standards and process updates as a contributor.
Must be comfortable with project “Post-Mortem” or “After Action Reporting” for the review and summary of lessons learned, areas of improvement, scope creep, etc. for optimization of project planning and execution.
The successful candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Office, have the ability to use Power BI dashboards, be generally tech savvy and possess the ability and desire to continuously learn new systems and applications.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent education and relevant experience.
4+ years of industry experience and knowledge in the aspects of Engineering, ISP and OSP construction, and contract policies and procedures or equivalent work experience.
Proven results in building strong peer level relationships
Ability to travel as needed, with notice.
Must have a valid driver’s license, with a satisfactory driving record. Motor vehicle record check will be required.
Comprehensive knowledge of construction practices and procedures, including conduit placement, fiber pulling, site development for remote equipment.
Knowledge of central office configurations and routing switching is a plus.
Previous experience with supervision of projects, or project management, reading blueprints and schematics, and experience and knowledge of building codes and relevant laws to ensure the project is in compliance with building standards and regulations.
Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

$74,070 - $98,760 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
