We remain committed to | | complete compliance with all policies and procedures essential to the | | success of each project-large, small and everything in between. | | Job descriptions | | SDAC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant | | Controller to join our growing team. This role will play a key role | | in all aspects of our financial operations, supporting the Controller | | and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. | | Key Responsibilities | | | | - Assist in the preparation and consolidation of financial | | statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) | | according to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) for | | the civil construction industry. | | - Assist with the month-end closing process, including account | | reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and accrual preparation. | | - Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing | | invoices, payments, and collections. | | - Prepare and analyze project cost reports, identifying variances | | and cost overruns. | | - Assist with budgeting and forecasting, providing financial data | | and analysis to support informed business decisions. | | - Prepare and manage internal control procedures to safeguard | | company assets and ensure financial reporting accuracy. | | - Participate in external audits, providing necessary documentation | | and support to auditors. | | - Oversee the daily accounting operations, including payroll | | processing and general ledger maintenance. | | - May assist with tax preparation or interact with tax | | professionals. | | - Perform other duties as a signed by the Controller. | | - Requirements | | - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. | | - Minimum 2-4 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably | | within the construction industry. | | - Strong understanding of GAAP and construction accounting | | principles. | | - Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and | | Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). | | - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. | | - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. | | - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. | | - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. | | - Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a | | fast-paced environment. | | - Benefits: | | - Medical | | - Dental | | - Vision | | - 401k | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
