The Dispatcher will include the assignment of motor vehicles and drivers for conveyance of freight or passengers, and compile lists of available vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule vehicle repair and lubrication for vehicle maintenance, schedules vehicles for lubrication or repairs based on date of last lubrication and mileage traveled or urgency of repairs.

  • Conduct analysis of installation vehicles and provides recommendations for right sizing of the vehicle fleet.

  • Prepare/submit reports on Army Non-tactical Vehicles (NTVs) and assist with preparation and analysis of Installation Vehicle Utilization Review Board (VURB) activities.

  • Schedule and Dispatch loan vehicles (Class C) and permanently dispatched vehicles (Class B).

  • Provide service to include general administration, dispatch and control of the GSA fleet in accordance with priorities and guidance set by the COR/Government representative.

  • Provide after duty hour service to support emergency transportation requirements

  • Ensure that all vehicles parked in the TMP vehicle lot are locked and secured in accordance with AR 58-1 and TM 38-600.

  • Evaluate vehicle requests in accordance with AR 58-1, determine availability of the vehicle type requested and give priority to mission essential requests.

  • Coordinate amongst customers, appropriate vendors, and GSA to ensure prioritizing and performance of scheduled/unscheduled maintenance/repair.

  • Ensure all Class C TMP vehicles requiring maintenance/repair are taken to appropriate vendors within 24 hours of identification of the need for repair.

  • Notify customers with permanently dispatched Class B vehicles of scheduled/unscheduled maintenance/repair requirements and direct the customer to deliver the vehicle to a GSA authorized repair facility.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

  • Minimum one (1) year of related work experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Possess clerical and computer or other experience

  • Familiarity with the scheduling and operation of motor vehicles in open street and highway traffic

  • Dispatching experience preferred.

  • Ability to present a neat appearance and pleasant attitude when dealing with customers and other employees.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel preferred.

  • Trainability can be substituted for experience.

  • Ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) for computer access.

Estimated Salary/Wage

Up to USD $22.72/Hr.
