JOB TITLE: Utilities Maintenance Worker I

MUSTS: Requires experience in laying of water and sewer mains and plumbing experience. First Aid and CPR, if not currently held, must be able to become certified through the city. Requires a minimum of three (3) months of utility and/or traffic maintenance work experience, training or education. Must have a current driver s license and the ability to obtain a Colorado Driver s license. Special Requirements: Must have or be willing to be certified as Class D Operator for Water and Wastewater treatment and/or must have or be willing to be certified as a Class l Water and Sewer Distribution and Collection System Operator within 18 months of hire. SKILLS/DUTIES: Wastewater Treatment Facility for a Utilities Maintenance Worker I positions is responsible for ensuring compliance with established regulations by monitoring wastewater treatment processes, conducting laboratory analyses of wastewater samples, and preparing reports. Responsible for maintaining lab and lab equipment, plant equipment, facilities and grounds. Maintaining accurate records of systems operation and maintenance is required. This is an entry level position.

WAGES $17.00 to $18.66 per hour
