Job Description :
GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Coordinates patient groups and activities to promote psycho-education and therapeutic treatment using clinical diagnostics and the application of therapeutic modalities and relapse prevention strategies to a diverse population of adults with behavioral health diagnoses.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitates psycho-educational and therapeutic groups.
Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment which promotes a positive patient experience.
Manages crisis situations effectively using CPI techniques
Provides clinical interventions assessed by individual needs.
Participates in interdisciplinary treatment team weekly and collaborates with team to provide individualized treatment goals.
Documents in medical record.
Encourages and/or assists patients to perform activities of daily living.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
Bachelor's degree in Mental Health or related field from an accredited college or university
CPR – American Heart Association
Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Preferred
- 3+ years experience in clinical individual and group psycho-educational therapy, crisis intervention, mental health assessment. Familiarity of social services and outpatient providers.
