Deceuninck North America, LLC Testing Technician in Monroe, Ohio

*Deceuninck is seeking a Testing Technician for it's Monroe, Ohio Facility.  Responsible for testing of finished window and door products to the AAMA/FGIA standards for Air, Water, and structural performance.  This includes creating product test plans in coordination with the Test Lab Supervisor, Senior Test Technician, Product Engineering and Deceuninck's Fabricators. *

 

[Core Responsibilities:]{.underline}

  • Receiving Incoming test units and transporting to Model Shop area
  • Assists in preparing incoming units for testing
  • Assists in mounting units simulating field installation techniques
  • Build and Tear down Test bucks used for testing.
  • Cut corner sections/samples as required by the AAMA testing authorities
  • Provide feedback on improving window performance and fabrication processes
  • Provide feedback on Safety Improvement and Efficiency Improvement
  • Support Senior Technician for Draft Report Review to insure accuracy of reported information and engineering documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with Internal and External entities to coordinate incoming and outgoing projects under direction of department Supervisor.
  • Utilize the DEPLIS and SAP systems for the input, maintenance requisitions, review of production schedules, inventory availability, Purchase Order Entry, Reconciling and Receipt.

     

[Qualifications:]{.underline}

  • Carpentry skills -- one year or equivalent carpentry experience using a variety of power tools such as a radial arm saw, hand drill, drill press, and band saw
  • Computer Organizational Skills -- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, Access Outlook, recording sample shipments and issuing reports to management through Access Database.
  • Language skills -- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
  • Mathematical skills -- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as feet and inches.  Able to use a tape measure.

     

[Education]{.underline}:

  • High school / Tech School diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred 2 Years of Fenestration or related experience -- ex: fabrication, installation, design, sales etc.
  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school in any of the engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.) preferred.
  • Fenestration Masters Associate Level Completion within 24 months.
