CSafe Logistics Manager in Monroe, Ohio

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced *Logistics Manager *(LOGM) to join our Operations team in Monroe, Ohio. This position will manage the bulk air cargo global logistics team, with employees reporting from various locations around the world. The LOGM will manage third parties, processes, for world-wide lease demand fulfillment, depot inventory management and personnel. Key responsibilities of the logistics team will include maintaining optimum inventory levels at service centers and hubs to ensure availability of our leased product lines, process improvement initiatives, maintenance of a global logistics lane tariff, container availability process ownership and managing transportation/service costs and contractual requirements with third party logistics providers.

* Responsibilities: *

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and execution of a logistics/fulfillment strategy that supports current and future needs of the business (process, people, partners, and technology)
  • Analyze historical demand and customer forecast and optimize the restocking of available container inventory at service/depot locations around the world.
  • Establish and manage relationships with 3rd party logistics service providers 
  • Control and negotiate pricing for required services. 
  • Review carrier performance data and identifies any issues that need escalation
  • Ensure logistics records are kept up to date in internal systems
  • Interpret reporting dashboard data into action items for the staff
  • Identify process gaps and suggest improvements including projects to automate and streamline logistics processes
  • Manage the staff to maintain proactive approach to asset management
  • Manage the staff to ensure a high level of service is maintained
  • Ensure staff stays on task, assigning tasks and proving priority to assignments as needed
  • Manage the staff to meet on-time shipments of customer orders
  • Ensure staff executes asset movement recommendations each week
  • Collaborate with finance, sales and operations teams 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Management, Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of logistics experience
  • 3+ years supervisory experience
  • 2+ years direct or indirect (3PL) international distribution experience 
  • Ability to manage constantly changing workload while meeting deadlines
  • Professional demeanor, tact, diplomacy, and ability to maintain good relationships with internal/external customers under stressful conditions
  • Must demonstrate leadership skills to drive positive results and attitudes from the team
  • Must possess analytical thinking and reasoning skills.
  • Must be thorough and exercise attention to detail.
  • Must be able to manage global team and adjust personal schedule accordingly
  • Must possess superior organizational skills and be able to balance multiple priorities
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Experience with Power BI analytics preferred
  • Must be a team player
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills

Work Environment:

  • Office/remote hybrid
  • Travel possible 10%
