Amazon DPO Transportation Logistics Manager, Device Postponement Operations (Cavalry) in Monroe, Ohio

Description

The Device Postponement Operations (DPO) Transportation Logistics Manager will manage component and device shipments working with the Amazon Device Global Logistics and contract manufacturer buyer to ensure timely delivery of international and domestic shipments. This position will help monitor tariff/duty expenditures to ensure accuracy. When necessary, the DPO Transportation Logistics Manager will expedite shipments and confirm delivery. The DPO Transportation Logistics manager will interface with DPO Supply Chain Planning, Factory Operations & Warehousing, Amazon Device Global Logistics, Quality, and Amazon contract manufacturing partners.

Key job responsibilities

You will be working as a transportation logistics professional in Sunnyvale, CA for the Amazon Devices Postponement Operations (DPO) team supporting supply chain fulfillment processes.

  • Receive accuracy of inbound shipments

  • Tracking inbound shipments

  • Tracking outbound shipments

  • Tracking material transfers

  • Creating material transfers into DPO site

About the team

DPO is a group within the Device Operations organization. DPO ensures product availability for customers by solving the problem of in-region mix imbalance. DPO is set up to defer the final product configuration decision close to the customer within the local sales region.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of supply chain experience

  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 2+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
