Job Summary: As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Your expertise will ensure production goals are met while upholding the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency. In addition, your experience with automation systems and maintenance will be essential in optimizing production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on production machinery, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and address mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues to minimize equipment downtime and maintain efficiency.
  • Repairs: Conduct repairs and replace faulty components on both traditional and automated machinery, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  • Automation Systems: Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize automation equipment such as PLCs, sensors, actuators, and robotics to enhance production performance.
  • Scheduled Maintenance: Implement and adhere to a regular maintenance schedule, including both predictive and preventive tasks for all machinery, with a focus on automated systems.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and protocols to minimize workplace accidents and hazards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment upgrades, particularly in automation, to increase reliability and efficiency.
  • Training: Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices, particularly in automation maintenance, to ensure equipment is properly maintained and optimized.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in maintenance or automation systems preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a food manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and automation troubleshooting skills.
  • Hands-on experience with automation systems such as PLCs, robotics, and other programmable machinery.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment, machinery, and automated systems.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols.
  • Fabrication and welding experience a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
