POSITION: Attendant Technician - Assemblers

REPORTS TO: Department AR Shift Coach W Shift 7:00 am - 7:00 pm Friday - Sunday THIS IS A WEEKEND SHIFT QUALIFICATIONS:

PRIMARY DUTIES

:

The primary duties of the employee are (but are not limited to) the following:

  1. Operate 2 assemblers simultaneously producing an acceptable innerspring mattress meeting or exceeding the minimum acceptable level of output.
  2. Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity related to product, process and the system.
  3. Conduct Quality checks to identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and the quality system.
  4. Initiate, recommend, or provide suggestions to improve the product or process.
  5. Identify and control nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

**Responsibilities:

1. Safety

  • Understand and comply with all safety rules.
  • Understand and comply with all OSHA regulations and programs.
  • Report all accidents, no matter how minor, immediately.
  • Report any unsafe conditions in the work area.
  • Report any unsafe acts.
  • Always wear proper PPE.
  • Keep work area clean and free of any hazards.
  1. Quality
  • Perform all quality checks and document the results.
  • Must be able to use and read a tape measure.
  • Identify non-conforming products and or raw materials.
  • Accept the individual responsibility for the quality of the products and process you perform.
  • Make suggestions to improve the quality of the product and process.
  • Communicate with coaches and managers any issues needing to be addressed.
  1. Production
  • Operate 2 assemblers simultaneously.
  • Learn and use touch screen to set up and make needed adjustments to the innerspring mattresses.
  • Perform and/or assist with changeovers on the assemblers.
  • Conduct minor autonomous maintenance activities.
  • Maintain the shadow boards of essential tools and equipment.
  • Manually move coil baskets in the work area as needed to feed the assemblers.
  • Be able to manually stack innerspring mattresses on carts.
  • Must be able to manually load raw materials
  1. General

Work with EOJ Trainers to acquire additional skills.

Maintain TPM Standards for cleanliness of the assemblers.

Keep work area clean and free of debris.
