Job Title: Production Packer

Job Description

Candidates will be required to package Ortega Sauce as well as Cream of Wheat packets. They will ensure the environment around them is clean and safe to operate within. They place the bottles of sauce into boxes, put those boxes on a conveyor belt which will then start to palletize.

This is a union shop offering competitive pay starting at $18.83 per hour with a .30c premium on 2nd shift (19.13/hr) and a premium on 3rd shift (19.18/hr). You can expect a raise up to $23.35 after 90 days, which is a significant increase. Additionally, there is a $2,000 sign-on bonus, and you will receive a union raise once a year. The job also includes overtime opportunities with 1.5x pay for any work on Saturdays and 2x pay for any work on Sundays. Average overtime ranges from 4-10 hours a week depending on project demands.

Work Environment

Shift times are as follows: 1st shift: 7:00am-3:00pm M-F, 2nd shift: 3:00pm-11:00pm M-F, and 3rd shift: 11:00pm-7:00am S-Th. The work environment requires adherence to GMP standards, including the use of hair nets, beard nets, and nonslip or hard-toed shoes. If you are on the 3rd shift, you must be comfortable working with chemicals as you will be sanitizing for half of the shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.13 - $25.00/hr.
