General Information & Responsibilities
Provides necessary instruction and guidance in General Education Development courses to prepare students to pass exams in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies and Constitution.
Assignment is in Aledo, Illinois.
Description of Duties
Develop individualized educational plan for each student based on current skills and academic goals. Provide individualized and group instruction necessary to prepare students for GED tests.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 semesters documented secondary teaching experience required. ICCB required professional development coursework to meet Standards Proficient Instructor criteria required within two years of initial employment.
All G.E.D. candidates must:
• be able and willing to work with a diverse adult population on all levels;
• demonstrate oral and written English proficiency;
• demonstrate instructional technology proficiency for the classroom.

Pay is commensurate with education and experience. Minimum starting pay for Adult Education Adjunct Faculty (as of Fall 2024)
Bachelor's Degree = $25.97 per contact hour
Bachelor's +15 Degree = $28.14 per contact hour
Masters = $30.30 per contact hour
