Robert Half Credit Analyst in Modesto, California

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Credit Analyst in Modesto, California. This role is within the Manufacturing industry and entails managing customer portfolios, implementing credit/collection practices, and producing detailed financial reports.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain customer portfolios, making necessary adjustments to customer accounts and referring overdue accounts for legal action when required.

• Implement and adhere to credit/collection policies, practices, and procedures across various locations.

• Regularly monitor assigned collections accounts, identifying and reporting any variances in key business and performance metrics.

• Manage customer receivables, negotiate special payment plans, and participate in the creation of customer financial packages.

• Review credit activities, including large accounts, on a monthly basis to ensure compliance with credit policies, procedures, and relevant laws.

• Prepare and present detailed reports on account activity, summary aging analysis, and bad debt reserve analysis to management.

• Regularly communicate with sales and operations partners to understand how the collections team performance impacts customer relationships and escalate key issues when necessary.

• Identify and address both operation-driven and customer-driven issues that could complicate cash applications and collections processes.

• Assist with annual audits by providing necessary information on general ledger accounts.

• Provide training and support to less experienced team members.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a credit analyst role or similar position within the manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in collection processes, commercial and consumer collections

• Strong understanding and experience with credit applications

• Extensive knowledge in credit analysis and credit granting process

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and colleagues

• Ability to use financial software and databases for credit analysis

• Strong analytical skills to assess creditworthiness of potential clients

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions based on data.
