Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Modesto, California. The role will be based on-site and will involve supporting a team through the tax season. The industry we operate in is accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process data entry tasks, by inputting information from income tax returns into our database.

• Handle sensitive documents and data with the utmost confidentiality and precision.

• Conduct fundamental bookkeeping tasks, ensuring our financial records are current.

• Run basic reconciliations, spotting any discrepancies and resolving them swiftly.

• Utilize Lacerte and QuickBooks software programs for data entry and bookkeeping duties.

• Maintain and update files and records as mandated.

• Manage tasks related to accounts payable and receivable.

• Perform bank reconciliations and other accounting functions as needed.

• Leverage QuickBooks Online and other tools for various tasks.

• Ensure all tasks are organized, prioritized, and multitasked efficiently.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in accounting functions and principles

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with bank reconciliations

• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping practices

• Proficient in data entry tasks

• Experience with Quickbooks Online software

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for various accounting tasks
