Job Posting: Industrial Electrician

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience doing industrial plant or manufacturing environments, with the ability to troubleshoot and modify PLC-based equipment, and work with a variety of electrical components and systems. This role requires proficiency in print reading, drawing interpretation, and the use of tools and measuring devices, all while maintaining a strong focus on safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive work instructions, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to perform scheduled, emergency, and routine repairs, calibrations, and preventative maintenance.

  • Interpret drawings and sketches to determine the best work procedures, tools, and equipment needed for troubleshooting and repairs.

  • Repair, rebuild, and test electrical components to ensure equipment is operational as quickly and efficiently as possible.

  • Troubleshoot electrical systems using ladder logic, electrical prints, and schematics, with knowledge of 3-phase electricity.

  • Work with AC/DC motors, generators, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, starters, switches, lighting equipment, electronic scales, power distribution, communication systems, inverters, motor drives, conduit, and fittings.

  • Diagnose and repair a variety of equipment, including presses and machines.

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the ongoing functionality of tools and equipment.

  • Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in safe operating condition.

  • Understand and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic press systems and programmable controls.

  • Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics for troubleshooting and repair purposes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in an industrial plant or manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in using computer-based software to complete job tasks.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and modify PLC-based equipment.

  • Experience with AC and DC motors, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, inverters, motor drives, conduit, and fittings.

  • Strong skills in print reading, drawing interpretation, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

  • Proper use of tools and measuring devices with a strong safety mentality.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 3-5 years of experience working as an industrial electrician in heavy industrial facilities.

  • Experience using multi-meters and working with Allen Bradley PLCs.

  • Experience working with 3-phase motors.

Preferred Skills

  • Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Electrician, PLC, GE PLC, Allen Bradley PLC, VFD, HMI, ladder logic, PLC troubleshooting, 480V, 3-phase, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical troubleshooting, pneumatic, hydraulic, millwright, mechanical.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00
