This role involves supervising a team, ensuring quality client care, and maintaining compliance with Burrell Behavioral Health guidelines. Key responsibilities include conducting regular supervisory sessions, assisting with time management and referral needs, and providing backup support during crises. The role also includes overseeing documentation, participating in quality assurance processes, developing treatment plans, and engaging in community education. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Hold regular supervisory sessions and team meetings, and periodically accompany SBSS to client visits at schools to ensure safety and performance. Assist supervisees with referral needs and time management according to DMH standards.

  • Case Management & Quality Assurance: Participate in client staffing to identify issues, set goals, and manage cases. Engage in quality assurance by presenting and reviewing cases, and assist in developing and updating treatment plans as needed.

  • Support & Crisis Intervention: Serve as backup for supervisees and provide crisis intervention during and after hours.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Regularly review and monitor documentation, providing feedback to ensure compliance.

  • Client Counseling & Follow-Up: Provide counseling services, coordinate comprehensive client follow-up, and review critical intervention plans, participating in monthly case reviews.

  • Community Engagement & Public Education: Present educational materials in public forums to enhance community mental health awareness.

  • Incident Reporting & Staff Hiring: Report critical incidents to the supervising Assistant Director or Director of School-Based Services. Assist in hiring new staff and review travel vouchers to certify that mileage claims are reasonable and for medically necessary activities.

  • Professional Conduct & Development: Adhere to Burrell Behavioral Health Operational Guidelines and professional ethics, participate in staff development activities, and respond to management needs like data collection, program evaluation, and grant application development.

  • Evaluation & Compliance: Participate in the regular evaluation of yourself and assigned staff, and comply with quality assurance procedures.

  • Special Functions: Perform additional duties as outlined and required.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or related field; or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field with 3 years of qualifying experience.

  • A Missouri Chauffeur's Drivers License is suggested, but not required unless driving a Burrell owned vehicle. License as a Professional Counselor or Social Worker in Missouri is preferred.
