About the Position:

This position performs a variety of working level skilled and semi-skilled duties as needed to ensure efficient and effective facility upkeep, event coordination technical support, equipment services, security, exhibitor services.

Essential Functions:

• Building maintenance and minor repairs
• Purchasing supplies at the direction of supervision and with reference to budgeting constraints
• Seasonal maintenance duties as needed
• Operation of specialized equipment
• Preparing and attending events and activities as needed
• Providing excellent customer service
• Checking and servicing vehicles and equipment
• Making minor emergency repairs to vehicles and equipment

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Working knowledge:
  • Use and care of mechanical tools
  • Public and employee safety
  • Equipment maintenance and repairs including hazards and safety precautions
  • Minor building maintenance
  • First aid and CPR
  • Basic principles of rescue from confined spaces

Qualifications:

• Graduation from high school; AND
• Two (2) years of related experience; OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must pass pre-employment background check.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to move objects weighing up to 80 lbs.
• Must obtain and maintain valid Commercial Class A Driver's License with N endorsement
• Must be able to work nights and weekends
• May be required to become Certified Applicator for control of noxious weeds
