JD Concrete Products, LLC headquartered at 1417 E Spruce St, Mitchell, SD 57301 phone number: +1 (605) 770-9475, is looking to fill fifteen (15) Heavy Truck Driver positions from 04/01/2025 to 12/01/2025. This is for full-time, peak-load temporary employment. Duties include: as Heavy Truck Drivers, workers may drive a semi-truck, dump truck, or ready-mix truck weighing at least 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Workers will run and drive loaders, forklifts, and other vehicles or mechanized equipment. Workers will be required to load and unload materials from vehicles or mechanized equipment. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. Special requirements include: Must have class A commercial driver's license or its foreign/international equivalent. Must have one month of CDL driving experience with Ready-mix trucks, dump trucks, etc. Must pass employer-paid pre-employment and random drug testing. Must be able to lift to seventy-five (75) lbs. throughout the day. Training will be provided on the job.
The pay rate is $27.89 per hour with overtime available at $41.83 per hour, based on hourly rate. Returning workers and workers with experience may be paid higher wage rates. 45 hours per week from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Saturday. Job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Daily travel to worksites in the area of intended employment is required.
The requested temporary workers will be based at 1417 E Spruce St, Mitchell, SD 57301 and will service clients within the East South Dakota nonmetropolitan area, West South Dakota nonmetropolitan area, Sioux Falls, SD BLS/MSA, including the counties of Aurora, Beadle, Brookings, Davison, Hanson, Hutchinson, Jerauld, Kingsbury, Lake, Miner, Sanborn, Brule, Buffalo, Douglas, Hand, McCook. Employer provides transportation to and from all worksites.
Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is Weekly. Employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law. Housing will be provided free of charge and is optional for workers. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training in the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor. As of the date of this posting the three-fourths guarantee is not enforced.
