Providence St. Joseph Health Echocardiograph Technologist - Echocardiology in Missoula, Montana
Description
The Technologist, under the direction of a Cardiologist, performs echocardiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision as well as other duties as assigned. This requires independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply non-ionizing high frequency ultrasonic waves for a cardiographic diagnosis, whether scheduled or emergent. He/she will participate in the clinical activities, including call, within the imaging areas of Echocardiography, Surgery, Mobile Unit and Nursing Units. The Technologist must know and adhere to the principles of Echocardiography, including technical factors, equipment function, transducer selection, patient care and safety and documentation and be able to perform these functions in an efficient manner so as to provide high quality, patient-oriented services.

Required Qualifications:
- Must have successfully completed a formal training program or equivalent in Echocardiography and demonstrate ability to complete competency in Echocardiography.
- National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography within 1 year of hire, Or
- National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International within 1 year of hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 months of experience
