The Facilities Manager will lead the overall facilities supporting the production and administration within all Three (3) buildings. They will ensure that the site's critical systems are operational 24/7 through regular inspection and maintenance. They will work daily with Systems Engineering team on Broadcast/IT needs. The Facilities Manager will also lead the EHS program that will require them to perform the safety and general maintenance activities at the site to maintain a safe and pleasant working environment for all employees and visitors. They will develop and maintain local vendor relationships and budget and procurement duties as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve 100% uptime of site critical systems and equipment. Critical systems and equipment include but are not limited to: Power/UPS, Back-up generator, Fuel supply, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning), BMS, Fire System, Security and Alarm Systems

  • Coordinate and execute, when necessary, inspection, permitting, testing, general maintenance and repair of the critical site systems and equipment. (Problem solving, resourcefulness, strategic thinking/planning)

  • Manage/Leader of EHS program to Ensure all EHS requirements are met, and documentation submitted as required

  • Ensure all OSHA requirements, submissions and postings are adhered to

  • Provide situation/status updates to Senior Management and Security until the issue is resolved and the critical system or equipment is fully operational

  • Employ effective organizational and time-management skills to deliver solutions to routine and emergency requests and general facility maintenance needs within established timelines. This includes initiating, managing and performing Change Management Requests (CMRs) as well as requests and incidents received through the global ticketing system and email.

  • Space planning, coordinating the maintenance of proper inventory levels for housekeeping and site supplies and ensuring proper safety measures are enforced. Prioritization of or acting on requests such as people and equipment moves, and other time-sensitive requests are critical in order to maintain customer satisfaction. (Problem solving, can-do attitude, persuasion and influence, collaboration, negotiation)

  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors for maximum site efficiency. 

  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills with ability to interface with all levels of management & user community. 

  • On call 24/7 with flexibility to work weekends as needed.

  • Required: Must be willing work evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays with little to no notices depending on production schedules and/or weather-related emergencies. 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing in house trades and external vendors

  • Minimum of 5 Years’ experience as Commercial Facility Manager/Property Manager

  • Experience in a similar role within a TV Station, ISP, media company, systems integrator, or other relevant industry desirable.

  • Working knowledge of Facilities systems/equipment, including BMS, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing

  • High level of integrity, judgment and follow through

  • Ability to manage multiple, complex, on-going tasks and projects

  • Ability to partner successfully with varied groups and people

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Must be willing to work in Miramar FL, associated facilities and sister stations

  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation

  • Must be willing and available to be on-call and work evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays as required

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Desired Characteristics:

  • Knowledge of Gensuite portal

  • Customer service oriented, follow up skills a must

  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines

  • Able to discuss issues/updates with all levels of management

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • AutoCad experience a plus but not required
