Overview

The Account Manager - Ankaa is responsible for providing management support for the day-to-day activities pertaining to Ankaa business processes. This position functions as a key leadership role with medium scale projects, specifically new startups of recently signed new clients, extensions of existing client business, building moves and/or internal continuous improvement projects. The Account manager is expected to possess competency in project management, implementation/integration methodologies and experience, preferably within the Third-Party Logistics (3PL) industry.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for onboarding new clients, including training, system set up, and data integration

  • Act as a liaison between internal and external customers to execute daily activities from order placement to shipment

  • Communicate and process requests for services, provide recommendations based on customer needs

  • Identify problems, determine root cause and develop solutions for internal and external customers

  • Process documentation, standard operating Procedure (SOP) creation and development for Ankaa activities

  • Manage completion of resource required documentation: IT, Warehouse Management System (WMS), Engineering, Quality

  • Create and maintain project timelines and schedules to include project scope, schedule, action items, budget, resources, quality, risks, project change control and communication

  • Communicate and document project status directly to internal/external stakeholders at all organizational levels

Additional Primary Responsibilities

  • Utilize Continuous Improvement tools to identify and document process improvement opportunities

  • Travel to Ankaa facilities, as required by project

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics & Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, or Business Management or logistics related field

  • Minimum 4 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience within the 3PL industry

  • 2 years demonstrated experience in managing projects related to 3PL solutions of new client startups, existing clients, transportation, Lean, and continuous improvement

  • Proficient with MS Office applications, with expertise in Project Management software, MS Project Professional.

  • Familiar with warehousing/logistics/transportation industry operations and related systems: WMS / LMS / TMS.

  • Understanding of revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections

  • Flexible schedule and ability to work long hours, when applicable.

  • Ability to develop, review and change processes

  • Ability to develop and publish documentation and training material

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong business management and facilitation skills also necessary.

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping

  • Additional hours may be required during facility start-ups, October, November, and December and other peak periods

  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 50lbs.
