Description

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join one or our preferred clients in Mira Loma, California area. This role is pivotal in ensuring an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, such as managing accounts payable, intercompany transactions, and the preparation of consolidated financial statements. This role also involves monitoring and maintaining a sound internal control environment in line with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close

• Manage day-to-day financial processes including accounts payable, intercompany transactions, and preparation of consolidated financial statements

• Oversee the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any outstanding balance sheet issues

• Document and maintain a sound internal control environment in accordance with company policies and procedures

• Coordinate with external auditors for the preparation of year-end audit schedules

• Prepare debt covenants ratios and bank reporting

• Oversee and/or prepare income tax package information

• Manage government regulatory filings, census reporting, business tax renewals, and sales & use tax

• Perform various ad-hoc analyses and reconciliations as necessary

• Supervise accountants as assigned including training, coaching, and performance reviews

• Manage the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures of the general accounting group

• Direct the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records

• Prepare statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues

• Participate in internal audits of accounting and administrative controls.

Requirements

• The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sr. Accountant or Accounting Manager.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.

• Experience with month-end close and supervising a team is required.

• Must have expertise in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions.

• Knowledge of NetSuite or Oracle is a distinct plus.

• Must be able to handle all Accounting Functions efficiently.

• Experience in multi-state Sales & Use Tax is a plus.

• Must be able to manage Billing Functions effectively.

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation is necessary.

• Must have experience in handling the General Ledger.

• At least Intermediate Excel is required.

• The candidate must have experience in handling Month End Close tasks.
