Salary Range:

$88,428 - $114,951

: 5 CES - Minot AFB, ND

The primary purpose of this position is:

To provide programming and base development technical engineering support performing the more difficult and complex tasks for projects involving specialized electrical systems, complex mechanical systems, and/or unique requirements for base facilities and associated utility distribution systems at Minot AFB, ND.

DUTIES:

1.

Evaluates and recommends for approval clients requests for new construction, renovation, and improvements of real property facilities including utility systems.

  1. Coordinates projects with engineers in a variety of disciplines and/or with architects.

  2. Works with organizational managers, budget personnel, and engineering/architectural authorities to develop and gain approval for proposed facility programs/projects.

RECRUITMENT KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA):

1.

General and practical knowledge of engineering concepts, methods, principles, practices, and techniques; familiarity with engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, structural, utilities, etc).

  1. Knowledge of program planning and budgeting cycles, financial control, and budget systems; work classifications and the regulatory and statutory restrictions on the expenditures of appropriated and non-appropriated funds; automated data processing system capabilities and economic usage to effectively accomplish assigned functions.

  2. Knowledge of standard contracting regulations, practices, and procedures.

  3. Knowledge of analytical and diagnostic methods, procedures, and principles and surveying methods, equipment, and techniques of measurements to identify project requirements.

  4. Ability to plan and record site/facility surveys and inspections.

  5. Ability to research, analyze, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, and procedures in a variety of situations and recommend timely and economical solutions.

OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTS PERTAINING TO THIS POSITION ARE:

. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station.

  1. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
