Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist (6 month contract-to-hire) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, handling payment transactions, managing vendor relationships, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal departments. This role requires a strong understanding of financial policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
Review, verify, and process all purchase order invoices for appropriate documentation and approval in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Review, verify, analyze, and process non-purchase order invoices for appropriate documentation and approval in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Review, verify, and process vendor RMA against vendor credit.
Monitor wire voucher spreadsheet for invoice processing and payment requests.
Monitor and process expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Enter and upload invoices into the accounts payable folder and attach to NetSuite.
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
Perform check runs and handle outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies promptly.
Reconcile received not invoice report.
Maintain relationships with vendors and respond to inquiries.
Monitor general accounts payable inbox.
Process new vendor requests in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate historical records of all accounts payable transactions.
Assist with month-end closing activities and prepare necessary reports.
Work closely with purchasing, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate coding and processing of invoices.
Assist with internal audits and provide documentation and information as requested.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
Reconcile assigned ledger accounts and analyze variances.
Review and analyze transactions for proper coding.

High School Diploma
3+ years of accounting experience (preferably mid-size company)
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
NetSuite knowledge (preferred)
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00
